Ich möchte kopieren Sie die Euphoria 2 F3b Design.

Ich möchte mein Flugzeug aus Balsa Verbund-Schaum-und Holz-Sicherung (verstärkt mit Carbon Fiber und Glasfaser).

Ich möchte hd45 Tragflächen für die Flügel.

Ich möchte einen elektrischen und nicht elektrischen Sicherung.

Meine Fragen:

1. Sollte ich mit V Schwanz oder Cross Schwanz?

2. Hat jemand eine elektrische? Falls ja, welchen Motor?

3. Jede Bau-Threads auf einem laminierten Schaumstoff F3b Flügel?

I want to make my plane out of balsa laminated foam and wooden fuse (strengthened with Carbon Fiber and Fiber Glass).

I want to use hd45 airfoils for the wings.

I want to make an electric and non electric fuse.

hi jay,

1.: depends. v-tails are known to offer better performance, or imho just less disadvantages. the x-tails are flying more stable/straight.
i would suggest to build x-tail: it`s easier to produce, relaxed handling (straight flying, handling in thermals, transportation (as long you don`t split the v-tail: costs even more afford to develop and build)).

3.: you should really get a copy of "Phil Barnes - vacuum bagging made easy" : http://home.paonline.com/hayman/PAGE2.htm

I also have a Supra I am working on, I received the wings from Phil Barnes. And I have the DVD and have worked with Phil several times in his home.

Thank you for your input on the cross tail or V tail.

If you do a scratch build just increase the fuse size to fit to your proposed drive system.

Discription of building the moulds!

I´ve an Europhia, too. Great flighing at any condition, mostly like it with the extra weight inside it has impressive tractive effort.

Both designs have pros and cons. It depends more on the moulds, which design is easier to build.

What do you mean with "copying the design"?

You take a different airfoil and to copy the outline of the wing not out for moulds isn't possible. So you end up at new wing.

The fuselage of the europhia2 as V is a very common design. I see no advantage to estrella or other design, the canopy at the bottom always bothered me. I like my Estrella fuselage much more. For non-competition flying I even would prefer a more spacy design like the Skorpion.

If you tell us the main purpose, we can give better hints and tipps.

The purpose is to build a plane I want to fly. I like the way the Euphoria looks and the videos of its performance.

I will be building the fuse from wood and fiber glass like the Genie.

The wing will have a similar planform as the euphoria2. I guess I should say I am using the Euphoria as a reference for wingspan, planform, tail planform, fuse length. I guess it will be a new plane, but it is based on the Euphoria 2.

I am going to use the V tail. I have already printed out my airfoil templates so that I can cut the cores.

By the way, you are writing "Euphoria", but I think like everyone else that you mean "Europhia", is that right?

You can rent the Europhia 2 plugs from Martin Weberschock for a low price, you know.
