Neodymium magnets crush finger

We work with neodymium magnets at work as well. There are strict rules to ensure safe operation and to avoid accidents while magnetising and handling. When I look at these "wooden bobbycar-crashtests" it looks very much like a candidate for "darvin awards" or similar!

Magnets are no solid bricks by themselves. The magnet forces try to force them into peaces and only the sintering keeps them together. The next attempt of such a crash test it might happen that there are bricks of magnets flying around hitting what ever is in their way!

The guy can be happy that only his finger was injured. Gambling around with magnets of this size should be done with more security measure. Especially this thoughtlessnes should not be published in internet. Sure such magnets can break your finger! They can also "kind of explode"! Might be the topic for the next video and diffrent pictures documenting the next damage to come ( don't let magnets fly into your eyes!)...

He means amateurish (dt. "stümperhafte") tests. This guy runs these tests without any regard to the risks of a "exploding" magnet.

Eike, was meinst Du mit 'wooden bobbycar-crashtests'?
