The flying field is here in yellow. The situation is pretty much thesame as the arnhem eurotour. With a road and a tree-line there (bad experience with ). In the red is the camping. it's verry near to the flying field (walking distance).

okey that's true, i just took the shortest route from the border to assen. If u are from belgium it's about 250km to assen. a bit more

update
already 20 people gave up for the chinese on saturday evening. it's importent to bring a plate and spoons/knifes yourself. we don't have that for everybody.

training time is friday from 13.00 pm till dark. it's not allowed to fly before that time because we are in the flying aproach route for the eelde airport. Suaturday flying is alowed at 8.00 am. not earlyer!

We had some pretty good weather this weekend. Lots of sun (bit to much for my skin) and some really good thermals. The location of the field was pretty good with a camping just on the other side of the road. I think the time keeping system of calling was pretty clear for everyone. We chose to not get a preperationtime of 2 minutes but just start the round when evenrybody was ready. I think that worked good because the switches between the groups went fast.

The camping was also happpy with the competition. They didn't hear any complains from the other guestst. We hope to organise an other competion again next year in the same field. and ofcourse it was an extra everybody went home with a backpack with the f3k logo on it and a extra gift in it (randomly picked).
