Futura take off crash

We all learnt a few things from this one. First...always full power test the model before take off...and then there's the turning into wind with insufficient height. We've all done it...but even experienced pilots occassionally get it wrong. Sad to see but good lessons to be learnt from this one. It'll change my prep and thinking on what to do in this situation.

Based on the smoke trail I assume the turbine flamed out at the end?

.... finally a stall in the last right turn. A little bit too much pitch, a little bit too much AOA, too much elevator input and thats it. But furtunately it seems the Futura is not very hard damaged.

Very hard to say what the reason was. Loosing power - flame out at 0:45 - Maingear does not retract correct shortly after the take off, does extend again at 0:40.... maybe more other problems.... Who knows....

I think there was place enough to land the plane on the grasfield and it was not necessary to make this turn back to the airfield.
