Brakes on a fixed gear Jet

Hello fellow modellers.

I have the Super Reaper aircraft from MickReeves models (http://mickreevesmodels.co.uk/~mickreev/Jets/Reaper/reaper.htm)

Has anyone of you built this aircraft with a fixed gear option and can share some ideas, ie.setup, which manufacturer of brakes etc.?

The reason why I'm asking and considering this option is due to the fact that the wing will need some serious and complex strengthening to have retracts fitted that can take all those bumpy landings (that do happen) for many cycles...

Looking forward for feedback on this,

Reynir.

Dear Reynir,

I would suggest to use normal jet-wheels with brakes, as you would use for a retractable landing gear as well. You can use electric brakes or some with air pressure - it's up to you. And you must prevent the brakes of rotating. That's it...

There is no difference between retracts and fixed gear regarding the brakes.
