DAeC Buko-Modellflug

Am Rande der Messe "Faszination Modellbau" in Friedrichshafen fand eine Tagung von Vertretern aus elf europäischen Modellflugverbänden zu den geplanten Prototype Regulations der EASA statt. Die Teilnehmer waren sich schnell einig, dass die aktuellen Entwicklungen eine starke Vertretung der Europäischen Modellflieger notwendig macht. Dazu wurde während diesen Treffens die European Model Flying Union (EMFU) gegründet. Diese neue Organisation bringt die Fachkompetenz von über einer halben Million Modellflugpiloten in Europa ein.
Zunächst möchte die EMFU als Mitglied von Europa Air Sports (EAS) Gesprächspartner der EASA bei der anstehenden Entwicklung der EASA Prototype Rules sein. Für die in Kürze anstehenden Gespräche mit der EASA wurden Dave PHIPPS (GBR, EAS) und Bruno DELOR (FRA, Vizepräsident der CIAM) gewählt.
Auch auf Wunsch der Vertreter des DAeC und des ÖAeC will diese Organisation offen sein für alle Modellflugverbände in Europa - unabhängig von deren Mitgliedschaft in EAS.

The European Model Flying Union (EMFU) was formed by representatives from 11 countries at a meeting in Friedrichshafen on the 28 October 2016.
The EMFU was formed to ensure the 500.000 model flyers within Europe are strongly represented in ongoing negotiations with EASA and the European political system.
The meeting agreed to appoint Bruno Delor and Dave Phipps to represent the EMFU in the proposed EASA experts group.
At the time of foundation, the EMFU represents 180.000 model flyers and invites all model flying associations within Europe to join with us at a time when model flying is under threat from inappropiate regulation.
