Actually Philip Kolb's AN66 is still among the three top GPS models in the Eurotour circuit. I had the chance to see quite a few of them competing in Tortosa (oct/16); that means also different pilots flying them (different pilots, same model)... results were quite good overall, and a predictable result for Philip with his AN66, a smashing combo. The model flies really well, covers distance, speeds up when needed and slows down for thermalling in a quasi-magic way. Not the nicest at first glance, but after a while you become used to its lines. Just one peculiar thing, landings, specially precision landings seem to need a well and in advance preparation due to the use of only butterfly braking and plane performance, but having this in hand, a piece of cake.
