6/10/07 Wow! Profi Q500 Turns 1:05 First Race Time Two Q500 motors were entered in a North West Q500 428 race this weekend. Heat times ranged from 1:05 to 1:09. This is the fastest time ever for the region. And 4 seconds faster than the fastest competitor. Profi almost lapped the entire field of entries. And the worst part...it was leaving a smoke trail the entire race, pilots didn't want to run it to lean! Thanks for the tests Tom Strom and Tony Huber!
6/5/07 Q500 Profi to race on 6/9 and 6/10 in Washington state. More Profi Testing has been completed this past weekend with excellent results. Let's see if we can get some heat times for an accurate comparison. Watch for results next week.
5/10/07 Profi 6.5 cc (.40cu in) Quickee 500 First production samples have now been flown. After various prototype engines were tested minor changes were made and the latest results are very positive. The engine is very fast, very smooth, and very easy to run. It has some interesting features borrowed from Profi world record holding F2A speed engines and promises to be a great challenger for the new Nelson engines.
