Dear all...
There is another thread, but not really dedicated to this model, but to the search of a 1/4 model, and that's the reason of starting this dedicated thread.
Just to tell that 1:3 ASW-12bv model should be starting production very soon. Two prototypes are already made, one of them completed and flying.
Adventure started by Jorge Medina (Tecnoepoxy) about 2 years ago in the "form" of creating a 1:3 scale model dedicated to GPS triangle racing https://tecnoepoxy.weebly.com/noticias/proximas-novedades
From the very start, one of the conditions was to create a model to be disassembled and easily carried as sport luggage; not a new idea (AN66, BS1) but mandatory in any case. From then on, and if I'm not wrong, Daniel Aeberli and Philip Kolb started very active collaboration in production and design.
Before any moulds were produced we placed a first order with the goal to have it ready for 2019 World's. It has been a tough and slow road till the very end of it, but finally, a first prototype (Jorge Medina's model) was shown by Daniel Aeberli and Philip Kolb at Chocofly's Schwabmünchen Messe, giving quite a good impression. Two weeks later, my #2 prototype was ready and sent to me to the Canary Islands... In my case I ordered a GFK cabin as I wanted a "functional" model in every respect and had no material time to have it finished in time with a "scale cabin". This can be retrofitted anytime. One holiday week 18 hours a day in the "Keller" and first flights took place. All I can say, a beautiful machine, easy to fly, really good thermal climber, efficient gliding performance, well working crow brake makes landings easy and safe. All that impressions just after two flights (weather and work do not help a lot here) and still expecting much more once properly adjusted and trimmed. The original is the ASW12bv, 19m span, so the model is 6,3m, in my case very light, 12,4Kg unballasted RTF (about 80gr/dm2) ... a hybrid between an AmigoII and a F1, very comfortable and relaxing to fly, no matter if at high speeds or near stall (really refuses to stall).
Next step, Tortosa, in 1 month time, 2 days to tune before the WM!!!
We'll see us in Tortosa

Liebe Freunde...
Jose
