Finally we have something to look forward to. Last winter we made several attempts to organize an F5K contest. Due to the bad weather we had to cancel it all the time. When the weather finally got better we were faced with the Corona virus and flying was again not possible. Fortunately, the world is already looking better. You can fly everywhere again, of course with the local regulations. Official NK competitions are only flown from September 1. However, other activities may be organized, such as training, friendly competitions or other meetings.
A number of flying friends within the Modelvliegclub Losser have put their heads together and this resulted in the F5K promotion weekend. This is planned on the weekend of 7.8 and 9 August. The aim of the weekend is to promote the new F5K class, but also to have a fun flying weekend together. From Friday afternoon you can first fly freely with different F5K models. In the evening we would like to have a Chinese buffet come with a number of presentations. On Saturday and Sunday we may try to fly F5K tasks. Saturday evening we try to organize a bbq with some presentations. The exact agenda of the weekend will be shared as soon as possible.
During this weekend we are guests of the Beerendonk family. Jorn Beerendonk and his parents made their "Thermal farm" available. In a fantastic location you can camp with a caravan tent. A separate shower and toilet is also available. In the center of the field is a beautiful campfire place where we can eat and drink. The photos in the appendix give a good impression.
The Modevliegclu Losser has rented the field next to the Thermal farm for this weekend. The flying field and camping field are therefore next to each other. You can almost fly from the tent. Naturally, the KNVVL Model Flying rules applies at this location. The activities and location of this weekend have been determined with the KNVVL and they have confirmed that there is no objection.
