50% acetone is ok, if you make sure to spray only very thin layers.
You might have to spray quite some of that thin layers with a few minutes delay between them.
As long as there is enough time for the acetone to leave the gelcoat before it hardens, it will be ok.
However I'd use upto 50% acetone only for competition models, where any excess weight is to be avoided.
In that case one has to live with the semi transparent coloring.

For all other models i'd use only upto 30% acetone sprayed in slightly thicker layers, to get a nice colorful finish.

Hi Paolo,

Im using T30 and T35 to paint my moulds for a few years now. As I`m using a spraygun with a small injector (0,7mm) I dilute with 60-80% aceton without any problems. As Kurbel already said it´s important to spray in more thin layers but I don´t wait between these layers, I do spray them in one flow of work. I think that a good amount of the acetone evaporates already in the air.
T 35 needs slightly less acetone because the viscosity is already a bit lower.
T 30 I do colour with 15% colour and I also use the L&R colours.

Cheers,
Arne
