Racingjet, Kolibrijet , Mini Skyrunner....

Hallo zusammen,

ich suche für meine Kolibri T25 ein neues Zuhause.

Nachdem ich einige Jahre lang echt happy mit dem Baiojet war, der aber das Zeitliche gesegnet hat und auch nicht wirklich mehr verfügbar ist, beschäftige ich mich nun mit mit einem Nachfolger.

Da der Baio sehr schnell war und auch optisch extrem anspruchsvoll war, sollte er nicht kleiner und canard-fähig sein. Auf Canards möchte ich wegen des schwierigen Platzes, den angenehmen Flugeigenschaften und der Bauchstartfähigkeit nicht verzichten.

Deshalb bin ich dem Vasa und dem Kolibrijet von Minijet nicht besonders zugetan, weil sie entweder wesentlich kürzer (Canards) oder weniger Spannweite/Flächentiefe haben (Sichtbarkeit).
Der Skyrunner ist wieder lang genug, aber er hat fast 7cm weniger Spannweite.

Nun bin ich über den Racingjet von Minijets gestolpert, der mit 1 Meter schon wieder fast zuviel Spannweite hat.

Hat jemand Erfahrung mit den Modellen und kann etwas zu den Flugeigenschaften sagen? Vielleicht hat ja auch jemand noch eine andere Idee, über die ich noch nicht nachgedacht habe.

Yup, dass erzählen Sie schon seit Jahren, auch dass sie drei verschiedene Größen herausbringen.
Angeblich hat die Formen auch jemand anderes. Wenn das wirklich die Originalformen waren, von dem ich einen bekommen habe, laminieren kann der nicht.

Ich denke Ich verstehe nicht richtig,,, Vasa Fusion zu klein aber 1meter zu groß?! Zwei das is auch grösser aber auch sehr gut ist Vasa Vampire, auch schnell mit kleiner T15. Oder warum nicht ein Opus?!

(Ich mag die kleiner Skyrunner 250(?!) von Minijets, Leicht!! Aber kostet zu viel. Auch Messepreis bei Jetpower war Mehr als hompepage sagt hehe.... Vasa Fusion kostet nicht viel mehr und ist besser mit eingebaut Tank etc... gibst auch mit Canard!)


Vampire geht einfach aus der Hand auch mit T15.

Vampire und Opus sind nicht in der Auswahl.
Ich hatte den Fusion bei der jetpower in der Hand, er kam mir kleiner vor als der Bajo (auch bezüglich flächentiefe) und damit wird er schlechter sichtbar, oder?Wie ist deine Erfahrung im Flug, henke? Vasa kostet auf der WebPage 500 Euro als jetversion , da ist der skyrunner mit 320 Euro preiswert. Der hat auch 7cm weniger span als der Banjo.
1 Meter des racingjets kommt mir schon sehr groß vor, das wird dann langsamer, oder?
Kolibrijet und Vasa Fusion sind auch ziemlich kurz. Finde ich wegen Canards nicht so ganz optimal.

I think the minijets had very different quality during the years. The funjet they sell were very rough while the mini skyrunner was very nice. Light and tip top finnish.

Speed is frontal area, larger is slower both by number and by looks. Need to find that trade-off to suite you.

Fusion is much smaller as it's half as thick. Still with 650cc of fuel(!)

Will suit the futaba 3150?
I am wondering about 650cc in the fusion, more than in my Bajo, although it is smaler. And I just wondering about the price, I remember, it was around 300 at jetpower 2017 I guess. The screen Shot is an actual request:

ich kann den Kolibrijet uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Je nach Motorisierung würde ich die Rumpfabdeckung anders befestigen. Ich habe es mit einem Verschluss gemacht.

Thickness, look at the picture of the two. Fusion is half the frontal area of a funjet/Kolibrijet.

Fuel is solved via a molded tank directly from Vasa. So comparing prices the Vasa price is including this fueltank molded, including also VAT and shipping. Also as I mentioned the mini skyrunner was really light and top quality molding, but I felt it was too expensive for what I got. The fusion at jetpower costed the same and then it is a carbon fiber sword while the mini skyrunner was only verly light from fiberglass. I saw it as a possible Twinjet replacement as a parkflyer, not for going specially fast. Don't know it it would hold up?!

As you can se my Fusion is prepared for T50, will use MKS HV6130 servos.



Also, I'm not saying what to buy. I only try to put in info as good as I can, then it's up to the buyer to descide. I also don't like listing the bad things about other manufacturers, I just try to focus on why I went one route explaining why. I'm sure you will find a perfect plane in the end! My big goal is not to find a good replacement for the Twinjet, something that is super relaxing to fly still with jet. It's hard to beat the Twinjet there!

Je kleiner der erzeugte Luftwiderstand, umso schneller fliegt das Modell.
Der Luftwiderstand ist, vereinfacht gesagt, abhängig von Cw (Widerstandsbeiwert) und A (Widerstandsfläche).
Für Speedflieger relevant ist nicht so sehr die Profilform, sondern die Dicke und die Spannweite (ergibt das A vom Flügel).
Und die Stirnfläche von Rumpf und Leitwerk.

Cw muss man in der Praxis auch bei Speedmodellen keine große Aufmerksamkeit schenken.
Also bleibt hauptsächlich nur noch A übrig, auf die man sich konzentrieren kann/soll.

Zu wenig Auftrieb (Flügeltiefe & Spannweite!) darf der Flügel aber nicht haben, sonst muss man mit zu hohem Anstellwinkel fliegen.
Und das verursacht sehr viel Luftwiderstand...

thx for your help again. Molded tanks are not interesting for me so far, because I use platypus tanks.
I know, that you didn't tell me, what you buy. And I'm thankful for that and the imput, your have given me.

I think, I've made my choice (still not really sure) .
