Hi
Fuselage is just 1 layer of 600 gram fiberglass, then sanded and filler, and sanded and painted. And its very very strong and extreme stabil.
I have made a lot of small gliders with this tecnik, from 50 cm spann to 2 meter. (fiberglass fuselage and masiv balsa wing, (or laminated balsa/gfk wing))
For the Speedster 40, Swift and Fox (1 meter) just 10 mm balsa.
And you need a all gfk glider to match them.
Its not that hard to make a fuselage, the first many times I wraped 200 gram fiberglass around, but now I just use 1 piece 500 gram pr. side (and starting with one layer 2 cm wide 200 grams at the top and underside and let it dry before I put on the sides. In this way its stabil and easy to work with.
And Its much stronger than a normal wood fuselage.
