Hi! does not work at low rpm (backfire)look video

The engine is new a few flights


Prop 32/10 Mejzlik

when I give full throttle has been low.

Carburetor is fine low needle 3/4 and needle high 2 turns.
Regulating low needle does not change behavior.

Carb diaphragm is fine

Mufflers K&S to 22cm

I have also tested mufflers BMB to 13,5cm

Zundung is fine,pickup sensor is fine,tested in several positions.

Spark plug are fine.

so it was not a problem of the Da-170, but the problem of the user to find the correct needle setup up.......?

Needle setup depends of prop, muffler, gas etc. But good to hear that all is working now perfect. DA/USA has a great support.

Hi!

The DA-170 is really close to the limit how much power output is possible from this engine size.

That's why it is definitly not that easy to setup as the former DA engines were (50,100,150).

I often heard of such problems, but finally they could all be solved.

The 170 is also really sensitive to the H needle. Mine has a strong influence of the H needle on the transition (theoretical it should not, but...)

A 170 compared to a 150 is a bit like comparing an supercharged race engine with a truck engine.

The 150 even runs with diesel fuel (no joke, with some changes) :D.
