Hi Wim,
don't use a Cortex, it is an excellent gyro for normal plane operation but not for VTOL.
Instead use OpenAeroVTOL running on a KK2.1 board, it has full support for Pogo-style planes and other VTOL setups incl. smooth transition for takeoff and landing:

...beside a KK2.1 board is way cheaper than a Cortex. If you need support flashing the KK2.1 with the OpenAeroVTOL firmware I can offer to do it for you - just contact me by PM.

... and how much thrust do you plan to exceed this weight? Will the Himaxx-motor be able to deliver this much thrust?
... und wie viel Schub wirst Du brauchen um senkrecht starten zu können? Kann der Himaxx-Motor das liefern?

I would like to build a 1:7 scale Pogo and came across this site. I already have a 1:72 scale plastic model and a few sketchy views from the internet. Do you have any drawings, especially of the fuselage ribs, that you could send me? I would be very grateful and would be happy to send you a few dollars or euros.
