Hello Sarvenn
"Our" previous rules have already been very much adapted to your existing set of rules, I don't see any very big differences or I sometimes see analogous agreement.
Reinforcing the fuselage with GRP / CFRP and the like was perhaps meant too well from the start and you should have done without it, you can also reinforce it very well with Japanese paper and a few layers of stretch varnish.
With GRP / CFRP, "cheating" is somewhat difficult and complicated to prove.
Where does the applied layer start, where is it too thick, when it is a GRP hull.
The iron-on film from China is also a cheap alternative to Oralight products.
To the bungee and the venue.
I am of the opinion that if "international" is flown, and the participants are likely to undertake long journeys, the full pitch should be flown on fields that are sufficiently large for this.
For smaller national competitions, the adaptation of the pitch to the conditions of the airfield can and should be retained.
Whatever the outcome, it would be fantastic if we could meet on an international level soon, and share one or the other thermal, and of course to be able to compete in terms of sport.
Whether we toast with an Effes, Jever, Paulaner, Heinecken, Puntigamer or Budweiser in the evening, the future of RES flying is exciting.
LG Andreas

Hello,
Yes you are right Andreas. Mostly similar but at some certain points Turkish rules are a bit more challenging.
GRP / CFRP cheating is not that much hard. Monocoque structure or molded structure is really an obvious thing.
I hate chinese coverings. I also have a lot of them (hobbyking) but I don't use them anymore, they are not durable. Quality is my first priority: D Oracover is the best and I carefully use my stocks. I fly with a model over 7 years, so durability of the plane and the covering matters.
Shorter bungee is not only because of field restriction. Starting from a lower launch height drives us to seek and catch thermals more effectively. Reading the air prior to lunch, have a plan before lunch, what would be the best achievable fligt time for that certain weather condition etc. Since newer planes have much more better flying performance, it became easier to fly full time.
Believe me, my average lunch heights at a moderate wind conditions was above 130m. My record was 220m (100m line + 30m bungee). That was fantastic but unfair for others. Thanks to Philip and other F3J pilot friends, they thought me how to lunch and zoom for the best launch height. But this is a huge advantage for me, gaps were much between good and average pilots. With lower lunch heights, point gaps were more closer, more challenging. Average flyers have the chance to perform as much as advanced flyers, this gave them a chance to proceed to fly-off or even earn a place on the podium.
On the other hand, this class is a thermal duration task . So we need to squeeze all the thermals even at low altitudes to stay in the air as much as we can. This also drives us to make critical decision to make a re-lunch and continue to fly. Reading the air all the time, follow the changing weather conditions, following other planes, knowing your and your plane's skills etc. So it is not only a flying skill contest, knowledge, tactics, strategy, thinking about all the variables before and during the round, right amount of ballast, following other pilots is the key of success. Like a chess game.
That's why this class attracts me. Before I met with F3RES I was flying F3A, F3P and 3D aerobatic flying disciplines. But they were fun but cooperation between soaring community people and contest challenges are much more higher then those classes.
Meeting at international class competitions is a dream for a long time for me as well. I couldn't afford for F3J planes but lucky me, I had some sponsor friends and supported me to fly at some F3J competitions as well. F3RES is a fantastic class for both affordability and contest challenge.
I had bought tickets (with the help of a sponsor) for the 2020 DMM at Kulmbach but I had to cancel my trip due to pandemic. I always seek for the fun of flying, sharing with new friends but also compete in a disciplined way, challenging way.
I always prefer cold local beers to toast and say cheers! No matter if it is Efes, Bud or Heineken: P.
Future is exciting! : D
