Im ELRS Discord, also bei den eher jungen FPV-Usern, ging es auch gerade darum, mal testweise nicht auf der grünen Wiese, sondern auf einem offiziellen Modellflugplatz zu fliegen, hier ein paar Kommentare:
"Someone is about to learn more about the AARP and gout than they ever wanted to learn"
"I am pretty much the youngest member at 33 unless you count of the members son whos like 25 but he might be there because he was forced as a child :P. Pretty sure the rest of the group is def AARP+ lol"
"I'm almost certainly the youngest regular member at my club, but the boomers are very friendly. I've seen them buddy box random kids that showed up a couple times"
"oh yeah my local club is awesome. welcomed me as an FPV Drone pilot. They love the chase videos
and yeah taught me buddy box w/ spektrum and recently opentx"
"So they only like fellow LOSers?
At my local field I would get a warmer reception if I had leprosy, monkeypox and ebola, than with an FPV quad"
"Bmfa, I already hate the LoS RC field culture but I really want a nice field to fly at"
"Same at my field but I just do it anyways I have my fpv and Los mates who go, I don't care about being shunned by other people"
"Oh, shunned would be fine. They literally physically don't let people fly, despite it being a public city park
If you are not an AMA member, they just won't let you take off"
"
I'm not a member, AMA!"
"okay but what if I do it anyway?"
"You'll lose your AMA membership"
"There is usually about a dozen of them there at a time, and it would get physical, tbh
I don't feel strongly enough about flying in an empty boring field to get into a fist fight"
"I think can take a dozen average AMA members."
"Would you rather fight a dozen geese or a dozen AMA members?"
"Geese can be troublesome"
