Well, there's nothing illegal about them, but they aren't much different
from Stock Metal Hydrides(I'll bet that's what he was referring to). But
Panasonic was the company who went with a different shrink wrap & they're
the manufacturer, if it was illegal, they wouldn't have made it into this
country(& I'm pretty sure the racing organizations have already approved it
for sanctioned races). By my understanding of it, it's simply a newer
generation of the same design as the Stock Metal Hydrides, with a marginal
improvement in performance(but their care needs & lifespan are likely the
same).....
