Hello Sascha,
very nice plane. Can you tell some more about it such as:
- Are the servo's in the wing or in the fuse?
- What construction is used for the wing.
- What airfoils are used.
- Flight characteristics.
Regards,
Bas Breijer
Hello Bas
The AR12 is the newest of my Homebuild(not commercial) F3K Models.
The Wing is made by Wingbagging,4Hotwirecut Panels per Side.I used XPS Foam from URSA
The Wingskin is 65CFK
Zone V2 50 Foil at the Root and Zone V2 20 at the Tip.Some blended Foils in between. The Idea about this Modell came when i saw the first Pictures and the Flightimpressions about the XX Lite on RCG.
The Launch and Run is really impressive still with its low weight.I thought there would be some disatvantage in Float, but the AR12 does float good too.Im gettin 120 to 150s in dead air from 45m.
With the new High Aspect Ratio Wing the Plane launches 5m more then my Edge Foiled Model.
The Rootchord is only 145mm.The Wingservos are going in the Fuselage. The Fuse is a one piece RCN09 with oval boom.
This is my new favorite because it flies better in every condition then every F3K Model i have build before.
MFG Sascha
