The model is the same like last time, but I can not find it now, because searching does not work for me, so again what I wrote in that older thread:
------------------------
http://www.rcmodely.sk/zobrazclanok.php?id=239
The article is in Slovak language, so I translate:
Model is equivalent of Super Star from Ikarus (3 pictures on bottom).
Wing span is 800mm (~32”). The material is 3mm (~1/8”) thin foam. Wing has two carbon spars.
CG is at 19% MAC. Weight of model including batteries is 140g (5oz).
Power train is PJS 300 and 3 kokam 360 mAh cells, prop GWS 10x4.7, regulator is TMM 710. It is not with governor. Flight time is controlled with my old timer with PIC processor. Lines are 0.3mm (0.0118”) strand lines 5m long (16ft).
To rpm is 4000 and it gives lap time ~4s. It is too little for safe line tension from centrifugal force – therefore that deflected rudder and lines far back. It gives safe line tension overhead.
The model is little bit flexible (sometime fluttering), so I must do something to make it more rigid … I will see next time
----------------------
This time I installed support for wing to make it more rigid, it solved problem with fluttering and its area also helped in corners. I was also able to fly at 4200rpm so it was also little better overhead. I thing next time I will try biplane.
I also tested my new single chip timer (no resistors, no capacitors, only one PIC), works great and simple. ... for those who wanted it I will make somewhere downloadable program soon.
