Also, just best experience with Jean Marc from 2016 since I bought my 1st jet and turbine.

Today made last flight with old one and transferring to MB.
Will try to move thrust tube to front a bit so turbine can be also more forward, now CG seems ok (140mm) with 50g weight in nose, despite old/heavy k80.

Does someone here fly on 150mm? (empty main tank, full UAT)

30mm from straight part of pipe per manual should help too with turbine distance to front

The GC of my 339 is approx 140mm so it flews fine.
I dont want to try 150mm.

You measure that with full UAT (hopper) and very little if any in main tank and with wheels down?
like landing configuration ...

At takeoff and in flight when full of fuel (tank in front of cg), your 140mm is more like 125-130mm?
Or you measure it like that, all full fuel 140mm?

Just asking to avoid confusion during my build, that's all
I. am used to set it with almost empty main if it is in front of cg, so plane can not be tailheavyer than measured, at least not while turbine is still running

Did someone open the fuel filter, there is a metal piece floating inside, is it supposed to be magnetised, to catch metal particles? (I will try to magnetise mine since it is there but not magnetic)

Thinking about installing all below deck for a cleaner look/less wires...

Very nice flying and photos!

V3 comes with no balast lead (blei) in nose, and thats great for lighter turbines, but my old one(k80) is around 500g heavier than k85 so had to add 4 batteries and 120g of lead there to get CG.

With empty tank its spot on 145mm now.
And since tank is in front of cg, I believe I can remove all 120g of lead after maiden because there will always be some fuel and wheels go down(and to front) which also helps with cg when fuel gets to landing level

Managed to setup all below deck(fadec, rx, jeti switch, JP retract controller, lights controller, turbine and smoke pump too)

It fits in car with other 2.2m model and wings without taking tail off, which is nice.
Fuel/smoke leak test is done, no leaks
hope to fire it up and taxi soon.

Wish we could buy tiptanks for other schemes, at least unpainted so 1 set fits all schemes..
and paint them ourselves.

do thrust tubes wrinkle a bit after first use? my outer shell has a few bumps but was straight before first start.

Sieht gut aus! Anscheinend sind aber keine Tiptanks (mehr) dabei. In der Beschreibung bei Kingtech Lu steht das zumindest so :“Keine tiptanks !!! nur drop tanks“

Lackiert hab ich die MB selbst, war ursprünglich die graue Version.
Die Tiptanks sind die Droptanks gewesen. Ein beherzter Einsatz mit dem Drehmel und schon haben sie auf die Flächenenden gepasst. Die Droptanks hatte ich noch von einer FlyFly MB übrig und da diese von der Größe her schön gepasst haben hab ich sie unter der Fläche montiert.

Spass beiseite, sehr schön, das mit den Tiptanks. Hatte ich bei mir auch vor. Wie hast Du die Tiptanks befestigt? Droptanks möchte ich keine mehr, da dann der Ausschlag der Landeklappen für mein Empfinden zu gering ist. Wenn man diese voll (ca 85°) setzt und die QR leicht hochstellt kannn man den Flieger unbeschreiblich langsam machen. Und bremsen tut er, als wenn man einen Anker wirft.

Hab die Tanks einfach dem Flächenprofil passend ausgefräßt und saugend auf die Fläche gesteckt bis so eine kleine umlaufende Aufdickung kommt. Diese hab ich quasi als Anschlag genommen. Paar Tropfen dünnflüssigen Sekundenkleber ,fertig. Die Droptanks sind von der Länge her so angebracht das ich mit den Klappen nicht in die Quere komm.

Is this normal or symptom of something not ok?
Pipe was ok during install, after 1 run on ground (check if all works ok), pipe got some bumps.

BIne nozzle ends 30mm brefore straight part of the pipe.
