Hi,
I'll tune in with my 10cents-worth. Excuse me for writing in english, but otherwise it'll take me to long :-)
About a coordinator:
If a group is defined, the group can elect a coordinator if anyone is willing
or
someone can volenter for the job, and the group will most likely say "hear" og "well done"
or
someone can start building and just take the job to everybodys joy
Ideas:
As I read and understand the project, the goal is to design a model that everybody who wants to, can build. Therefor it has to be as simple as possible. The more complicated it gets the better it looks AND the more difficult it is to build. I can easyli build a mold and make parts from it, but my experience is that people that have not done it before, are frightened by the word molds, therefor my advice is to make the model without molds. If anyone wants to make molds for some of the parts for the model, it is just a normal evolution.
I have made a small 3-plan sketch of the most simple DLG I can think of. It uses the least amount of templates for cutting foam (2 for the wing, 2 for the tailplane and 2 for the fin) It can be made even simpler and a bit better looking, if you make the tails from sanded balsa. It uses the most simple layout (in my oppinion), and it uses the most simple fuselage - build by the "lost foam" method.
The "lost foam" method means that you make a fuselage from foam, cover it with carbon and glass, and remove the foam with accetone afterwards. My idea would be to cure the fuselage in a vacuum bag, but that is not nescesary.
The aerodynamics of the model are of course not as refined as on a SALpeter, stobel og Sirius etc. but I belive that it is good enough to get Schulte in a flyoff if it is build correct :-)
Here is the idea:
