Hallo Christian!

413 grams flight weight! Great. CG in the right place? How much lead did you give?

This are the settings for REpuS (with gap covers and turbulators): CoG 113 mm hook position 116 mm The reflex of the rudders is -2.5 mm for maximum fast flight, -3 mm for cross-country flight, thermals and hand launch and approx. -3.5 mm for gliding and highstarts. The elevator deflections are +- 6mm and the aileron deflections are +- 11mm. Spoiler 90° ........... elevator - 7 mm (up) The settings for landing have allways to be done very carefully. For all of my RES modells (with or without tail) i use a five-point-curve mixer for spoiler trimm compensation. For quick-setting i do gentle hand launches with no spoiler (point 5 according to the photo ) 1/4 spoiler (point 4) 1/2 spoiler (point 3) ...... In case of REpuS point 1 is + 50, what meens - 7 mm (up) at full spoiler (90°). Quick setting is done, if angle off attack stays the same in all five spoiler position. Finetuning follows during normal flights. The spoilers on REpuS are very effective. Optionally the spoilers can be cut off at A10. They then extend from A10 to A16. The effect of the shorter spoiler is much gentler but still good. The smaller spoilers require around 25% less elevator admixture. |
