I have had my Libelle for over a year and only ever flown it on the slope. I love it!
I have this week fitted it with a Torcman Fes ex uni8 system so I do not have to drive for an hour to a slope every time I want to fly (I live in London)
I will run it with a 5000mah 5s, a 2s 800mah Optiguard backup, and a Kontronic Kolibri speed control.
This setup was recommended and supplied to me by Matthias at FW.
My overall flying weight is now 6.6 kg, and I have set the CG at 87/88mm (with the folding propeller attached) This corresponds to 75mm without wings, and requires no extra "dead" weight in either nose or tail.
Matthias runs this set up and assures me it will fly straight from a hand throw..
I wondered one thing: It now balances perfectly with the propeller attached, but then becomes a little lighter in the nose when the propeller is removed, naturally, so, do you add a little extra weight/move battery forward to compensate each time you fly without the propeller attached?
I assume yes, but just wondered about your experiences...
I am hoping to have my first "flat field" test flights this Tuesday.
